A recent Saturday morning found us exploring Harvard Square, well really mostly Harvard Yard. We are always on the lookout for locations that offer an interesting backdrop for a portrait.
What did we like about this location?
Well, everything. The buildings are beautiful, the grounds are green with lots of trees, and there are many locations that offer the opportunity for a beautiful background for portraits.
Appleton Chapel
at the Memorial Church was built in 1858. This door to the chapel would provide a nice background for a senior portrait.
Archways
This archway is just one of many beautiful locations that would make a wonderful backdrop for a portrait.
Cozy Seating
Beautiful benches outside Memorial Chapel in Harvard Yard
A little bit of everything
This has it all! intricate wooden door, brick, stone, architectural details!
Brick and Iron
A wonderful path surrounded by brick work and iron lanterns.
The People
Of course we loved photographing the people around us. Some willing to pose in the locations we liked best!
The details are beautiful
When looking around we couldn't help but notice the beautiful details around us - brick, iron, and elaborate stone and metal work.
